  Quite simply the best restaurant in town, and one that has been there for 50 years - but Giuseppe only continues to keep it going because he loves food, wine and good company. So if you a expecting a slick operation with average food and no character like Ask, Pizza Express or the Armoury then this place is definitely not for you. But if you want to feel like you are in someone's house, are part of the family and love home cooked food, lovingly cooked, enjoy eccentricities and talking with an enthusiastic Italian (with a ridiculously strong accent) you, like me and many of the other regulars at this little gem, will love it!

  I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for anyone's money great food but awful host never let u alone to eat or even have a private conversation he also had a limited choice of drinks of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks we ordered our main meals which was fine then we had a starter that came out of the blue in thinking it was free at first because everyone was given it also other people looked as confused of was going on too. we then had a main course which was really tasty but what ruined it was the host totally when we asked for the bill we realised we were being ripped of with being charged for starter we did not order. Then that was not the end of it oh no he littled me in front of everyone because I didn't all my food in which then everyone was ears dropping why giuseppes voice was raised and he was arguing with his wife because I left a bit of food in which the wife was sweet and apologetic because of giuseppes behaviour I did try to explain I am limated of how much I can eat and eventually 20 mins later after paying the bill we got leave with great relief and just glad to get out of there. Also one other important issue access is a no go for people with mobility and wheelchair users as there is no wheelchair access toilet and very limited tight space to sit down stairs even and stairs were quite rickety to say the least too if you want a uncomfortable night and if you want to be ripped off then giueppes your place to be guys SO U HAVE BEEN WARNED
